Biography
Hello! Thank you for visiting Susanna's Sketchbook.
I am a Canadian currently living in the United States. I studied art and photography at the Ontario College of Art & Design in Toronto several years ago. I am currently trying my hand at encaustic painting (painting with beeswax, oil paints, and resin). I began blogging in 2006 and have found an entirely new, wonderful world full of creative individuals. So if you haven't started a blog yet - do so!
Interests
Favourite artists and photographers: Betty Goodwin, Tapies, Sally Mann, Sarah Moon, Francesca Woodman, Paolo Roversi Favourite authors and books: Anything by Michael Ondaantje and Anne Michaels. Oh, and I absolutely loved Audrey Niffenegger's The Time Traveler's Wife. And I'm a Harry Potter geek! Favourite movies: La Femme Nikita, Wings of Desire, Practical Magic, The Girl on the Bridge, Favourite music: Tom Waits, Sarah MacLachlan, U2, Edith Piaf, radio podcasts on iTunes.
