This past Sunday, I met up in New York with one of the most delightful bloggers out there: Susan Tuttle. Susan is a wife, a mother of two adorable children, a flutist, a full time artist, a published author and an online digital photography teacher. And shhh...don't tell anyone but I'm pretty sure she's part fairy because she glows with an inner light.
I brought a pair of winged messengers with me and Susan chose this spot for them. Just moments before this photograph was taken, we had a nice chat with a friendly fireman who was patiently waiting in his firetruck. I think if someone can drive a firetruck through New York in an emergency, he or she can drive anywhere.
Susan and I had lunch at Cafe Habana, a popular restaurant with delicious food and wallet-friendly prices.
Then it was back to wandering and chatting and photographing Fall's arrival in New York.
We stopped by Balthazar's for a glass of wine but there was a waiting line for everything except the very nice washrooms. Thank goodness.
So it was back onto the street and up to the West Village with us
where we found a cute little restaurant on a cozy side street with friendly staff and excellent red wine and steamed mussels - yum!
Anyone visiting New York - especially for her birthday - has to stop at the famous cupcake bakery, Magnolia.
At the end of the day, when both of us were happily exhausted with our city adventures together, we caught the subway up to Grand Central to say our goodbyes. Susan, it was such a pleasure to finally meet you in person. Thank you for spending the day with me.
