The last Royal Confections doll and art journal left my home yesterday for a visit in Colorado. This will be her final trip before returning to New Hampshire, where she originally began her round robin journey over two years ago.
This last royal, known as The Bookish Queen, belongs to Susan who is an artist and the owner of Artstream Gallery and Studios in Rochester, New Hampshire.
In keeping with Susan's theme, I created a crown made of book spines for her doll. For her art journal, an illustration of The Bookish Queen reading on the grass is painted in watercolour on the interiors of two book covers. The covers can be closed and tied with a red ribbon and the "book" is attached to a tissue-covered page in Susan's art journal.
Lucky me, on the same day I received The Bookish Queen, I also received my royal and art journal. I can't believe the gorgeous artwork that the other eight artists created for my "Mistress". Wow! I'll show you everything and provide links to all the wonderful Royal Confections round robin participants in my next post.
