Hey everyone,
How are you? I hope you are having a good week. It's been quiet here on the home front. With all the snowstorms that we've received on the East Coast over the last few weeks, I've been spending alot of time indoors. And that has me thinking, Hmmm, maybe I should update this place.
So, as you can see, I've printed several favourite photographs and brought out a few sentimental belongings which I think will go with the images. There are photographs from my trip through the Gaspesie region of Quebec last Fall (I'm going to enlarge the middle photograph of Marcel Gagnon's sculpture), a lace border made by my nana or great-grandmother, a set of wood letters that spell out "Susanna's Sketchbook"... I'm still figuring out what else to include in the collection. The end result will hopefully look similar to this gallery wall found in a recent Pottery Barn catalogue:
J has encouraged me for years to display my artwork and I've put together little vignettes on dressers and shelves. Still, most of our walls are rather bare. I admire those people who can easily throw together a wall display. Some people really do have an eye for that, don't they? I don't know why I hesitate when it comes to wall displays. It really comes down to trying it out and if it doesn't work, start over. So that's what I'm going to do. It may take months but it will happen.
