I have a metal tin containing several of my father's (Royal) Canadian Air Force gold buttons and insignias. Whenever I see them, I instantly remember my dad and how he looked in his uniform. He loved being in the Canadian Air Force.
Recently, I brought the tin out and scattered the buttons across my drafting table. As I looked down on them, I thought to myself, why do I bring these out just once a year? And as I arranged the buttons into a circle, I thought, why not make a bracelet out of them? That way I can wear a reminder of my dad throughout the year.
