My friend, Jodi, and I have become a bit obsessed with making jewelry out of the old chandelier crystals she found in a junk store a couple years ago. Throughout January and now into February, we've gotten together around her kitchen table and created bracelets, earrings and necklaces.
This is our latest creation: a chandelier crystal dangling within what we think used to be a drawer pull on a dresser. The dark brown suede cord softens up the look of the glass and metal. Seeing that there were two brass pulls and we both liked the design so much, Jodi and I made matching necklaces.
Now to find more pieces of old hardware... D'you have any ideas as to where I should look? Do you know of any online shops? Or any such shops in New Jersey or New York City?
